Minister Chris Avent, known affectionately by many as Minister Brian, serves with a powerful mix of heart, skill, and divine purpose at The Rocky Mount Deliverance Evangelistic Center. As a passionate preacher, visionary tech leader, and men’s ministry mentor, he is committed to building bridges — between generations, communities, and God.

Leadership & Calling

Minister Avent leads with conviction in several key areas of ministry:

  • Overseeing “The Watchmen,” RMDEC’s dynamic Men’s Ministry
  • Organizing and executing outreach initiatives that meet spiritual and practical needs
  • Serving as the church’s Technology Lead, bringing innovation to kingdom work

With an unshakable call to ministry received in 2015, he walks boldly in his spiritual assignment — one that was deeply influenced by his lineage. As the grandson of RMDEC’s founder, the mantle of ministry has been woven into his very identity. Preaching is not just something he does — it’s who he is.

Faith Meets Function

A man of both Word and wisdom, Minister Avent holds two degrees — one in Computer Programming and another in Web Administration. He leverages these gifts to enhance the church’s digital presence and empower ministry in today’s ever-evolving world. Whether it’s the pulpit or a platform, he brings excellence to every space he occupies.

Family & Foundation

Above all, Minister Avent is a dedicated husband and father of three. He believes that ministry starts at home, and he is intentional about growing his family in the truth and love of God. His life is a testimony to the balance between faith, family, and forward movement.
